Whenever you have just a little bit of ground almonds left over from other recipes, a frangipane filling is such a tasty and easy way to use them up.

This often happens to me after making almond paste for my Christmas Cake. A few fresh cherries were also left in the fruit bowl and seemed begging to be added to the recipe and so these gluten free cherry almond tarts were created.
